Both security programs offer excellent security against malware and have little impact on performance of PCs. However, Kaspersky wins the overall contest due to its simple and intuitive user interface and extra features like the ability to manage passwords and file shredders.
The open-frame interface is heavily dominated by light colors and the most significant features are at the top. The current status of the device is displayed at the top of the screen, while other options are displayed in big blocks that can be clicked to get further details or to perform a specific task. This design is intuitive for the majority of computer users. A sleek bar at the bottom of the screen displays your subscription status.
Kaspersky scored perfect marks in the real-world testing conducted by AV Comparatives. This is because it scanned all 752 samples and produced no false-positives. The software also performed very well in analyzing files and removing malware after it had been removed from the device. In addition, it has minimal impact on performance and slowdowns.
Kaspersky also offers a vast knowledgebase and forums where customers can ask questions and seek help. However, it does not offer live chat or phone support which could be a disadvantage for some. It does, however, offer ticketed support for customers who require additional assistance.
